Scaling for Non-Scalers – new format for 2025. This one-day course will feature a morning of classroom instruction followed by a hands-on afternoon in a working mill yard.
In the ever-changing environment of forestry, forest products, and the ways in which product is bought and sold, it is critical that today’s industry professionals fully understand how logs are scaled in the Inland Northwest.
With an advanced understanding of these issues, participants will gain insight from a team of qualified presenters representing Idaho’s certified log scalers and the Idaho Board of Scaling Practices. This training is designed specifically for non-scaling professionals, providing a working knowledge of the scaling process, log rules, sorts, grades, and accountability.
This one-day training is in person only.
