Cut-to-Length Simulator Workshop

About This Event

Cut-to-Length Simulator Workshop
January 15–16, 2026

This hands-on workshop provides non-logging forest sector professionals with a unique opportunity to better understand the challenges and opportunities of modern cut-to-length (CTL) thinning systems. Using 20 desktop simulators at Oregon State University, participants will gain insight into both machine operation and the decision-making that goes into designing effective thinning treatments.

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed for foresters, natural resource managers, agency staff, and other forest sector employees who want to deepen their understanding of CTL thinning—without the need for prior logging experience.
