Western Forest Genetics Association Conference

June 8-10, 2027

This year the WFGA is teaming up with IUFRO 2.02.15 (Breeding and genetics of five-needle pines) and IUFRO 2.02.05 (Breeding and genetics of Pacific Northwest conifers) to host a forest genetics conference in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. This conference focuses on forest genetics research and operations relevant to western North America.

Student Prizes

The WFGA has a long history of supporting students and offers cash prizes for best oral and poster presentations.

Abstracts

If you are interested in making an oral presentation or presenting a poster, please submit an abstracts. Abstract submission will open by November 1 with a deadline of January 15, 2027.

 


 

About WFGA

The Western Forest Genetics Association (WFGA) comprises professionals, researchers, and students involved in forest genetics issues in the western US and Canada. It was founded in 1955 and currently holds biennial meetings that are rotated throughout the region, often held jointly with other organizations.
